Highschool Football Player Dead Because of His Twin Brother

A superstar high school football player in Philadelphia was recently shot and killed by his twin brother. The brothers, both seniors attended Mastery Charter North High school , talented stars on the football field, and both receiving All-Public league honors.

Philadelphia police responded to report of a suspicious person with a gun, Sunday evening and upon arriving to scene they found that 18 year old Suhail Gillard had one gunshot wound to the chest. The police said that the gun was recovered at the scene. Gillard was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department on Monday, December 2nd his twin brother, Fayaadh Gillard, was arrested on charges of murder, possession of a weapon, lying to officials, and obstruction of justice.

Suhail Gillard, a three time All-Public League running back was said to have had a few colleges recruiting his talents. Mastery’s defensive line coach, Mickey Grace, released a statement on twitter stating “It’s with grieving hearts that we inform you of the untimely passing 0f our beloved brother, Suhail Gillard. He was the most respected and hardest worker Mastery High ever had the honor and privilege to put a jersey on. Rest well.” Fayaadh Gillard’s court date will be on the 29th of December.
