One of the many things people love to do around the US is make gingerbread house around Christmas time. Well there is a whole day to celebrate Gingerbread Houses which is December 12th. Gingerbread was in Europe around 992 AD and the French Christians baked it. Gingerbread back then was a religious ceremony and was made to be sturdy so they can mold it into images of saints. There been movies made such as Hansel and Gretel. That movie help inspire and create other people to make gingerbread house a more festive sweet and spice treat.
