“68 Year Old Woman With Dementia Missing For 6 Days Found Alive In Snow Covered Car”

This past Wednesday in Northern California a woman suffering from dementia was found alive in her snow-covered vehicle. Her Toyota SUV was spotted by a helicopter, officials say. Rescuers found her alive in her car and took her to a paramedics staging are. Paula James was taken to the nearest hospital and is in stable condition and is slowly recovering. According to NBC News photos of the rescue mission show her SUV in a snow-covered field surrounded by trees. Officers stated that the woman may have become disoriented due to her dementia. Officers also stated that the search and rescue operation took more than 100 hours. Police informed people to be very careful when driving through snow and people should avoid driving during severe weather conditions.
