Rapper Pop Smoke, also known as Bashar Jackson, has died at age 20 after a robbery that took place in the AirBnB he was renting for the week. The initial reports say that “three to six” men in all black wearing masks walked into the houses and starting shouting. Then a accomplice from Bashar’s entourage called a buddy in New York City, who then contacted authorities at Los Angeles Police Department. It was already too late, as the upcoming rapper Pop died from several gunshot wounds.

The home belongs to The Real Housewives star Teddi Mellencamp, and Edwin Arroyave. The robbery occurred around 4:30 AM, per a witness. The suspects shot Pop Smoke and ran for the hills, where they have not yet been located at. A very sad development in this case is that Pop Smoke died so unexpectedly, and many people threw him into the “20/21” club that has featured the late Juice WRLD, Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, and now Pop Smoke. Sure, he was not as known as the aforementioned, but he will nevertheless still be missed.

A theory to his death is that he was connected to the Crips, and that this could have been a gang-related shooting. Such a tragic way to end off your life. He showed a Instagram post that showed his friend holding lots of cash, with a package that had the address he was staying at.

Rest in peace, Pop Smoke. Another gone too soon.
