Exploding Ammo Injuries Fire Chief

A fire chief was hit by a bullet from a burning home the ammunition had caught fire and shot out of the home in Hinesburg, Vermont, shortly after 3:30 p.m.  Fire fighters were called to a fire Hinesburg Vermont shortly after 3:30 p.m. The residents of the home were not there at the time but the ammunition that kept going off delayed firefighters from approaching the home resulting in more damage and damaging the neighbor’s home investigators believe cigarette buds were the cause of the fire the fire chief who was hit was taken to the hospital then released with minor injury.
