Moon Lake Pasco County Deputies in Search of Motorcyclist Who Fired Shots During Funeral Procession

On February 27th in New Port Richey: Pasco Deputies are asking for help identifying a motorcyclist who fired shots during a procession on Moon Lake Road, traveling north towards State Road 52. According to Deputies, around 3 pm while traveling north on Moon Lake Road, a man on an enduro-style motorcycle was seen passing and cutting off cars in the procession. Words were exchanged as the motorist was not allowed to pass the vehicles after being blocked by the procession. The procession continued towards Kent Grove Drive, as the motorist continued to follow. The procession continued north on Kent Grove Drive, as the motorcyclist continued east on State Road 52, he was seen brandishing a pistol at two people and eventually shooting up in the air six times. Deputies say the motorist left the scene, driving at high speeds on State Road 52 toward Interstate 75. Deputies described the motorcyclist as a thin white male, wearing all black, black helmet, and had long light hair sticking out the back of the man’s helmet. The motorcycle had a basket on the back and was attached with a California tag. The tag number is unknown to authorities but was believed to contain the number “77” in the tag number.
