Social media went into a frenzy last night, as Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have lost against the Minnesota Timberwolves despite a clinic by recently signed superstar Kyrie Irving, who put up 50 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 0 turnovers in a spectacular debut.

Kyrie did not have much help, however, as only one other player on the Nets, Caris LeVert, secured over 20 points. The game went to overtime, but by then, they could not win the game as the Timberwolves also put on a show, as Karl-Anthony Towns (36 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists) paved the way for the Minnesota Timberwolves. This is the only debut in NBA history where a player was able to eclipse 50 points with a new franchise. The game was a special one for Kyrie Irving ,a former Boston Celtic who put up his career best in points in his first game with his new franchise.

Congratulations to the Minnesota Timberwolves on a spectacular win, however!
