Today (11/08/19), at 12 in the morning, rapper Lil Mosey dropped his new, anticipated album “Certified Hitmaker” to all music platforms.

As a fan of Lil Mosey, I was very excited to listen to his new album, along with millions of other fans. Lil Mosey is a newer rap artist, but he’s gotten more recognition (as deserved) in the rap world. Lil Mosey only has one other album, “Northsbest”, which includes his top hits; “Kamikaze”, “Burberry Headband”, and “Noticed.” “Northsbest” had a 98% approval rating among Google raters.

When his album came out at 12 in the morning, I rushed to Apple Music to listen. I have to say, normally when I first listen to new albums, i’m not impressed with every song on it, but that is not the case with “Certified Hitmaker.” I’m very impressed with every song on the album and here are my ratings of each song:

Song #1 : “So Fast” – I’d rate this song a 7/10. The song flows very nicely, there’s a nice beat, and you can easily hear what Mosey is rapping. It’s not the best on the album, nor is it the worst, but it was a good start to the album.

Song #2 : “Live This Wild” – This song gets a solid 8.5/10 rating from me. It’s one of the featured songs on the album, which is understandable. I love the beat, the flow, and you can hear every word he is rapping.

Song #3 : “Speed Racin” – I’d rate this song a 8/10. It starts off a bit slow, but then transitions into a good beat with good lyrics.

Song #4: “Rockstars” – I’d rate this song a 7/10. It has a good beat, the lyrics are OK, but it’s just not my personal favorite on this album.

Song #5: “Stuck In a Dream” (feat. Gunna) –This song receives a 9/10 rating from me. It’s the other featured song on this album, and for a good reason. I loved the beat, I loved Gunna’s feature, and the lyrics flowed very nicely. It’s a very catchy song and one of my personal favorites on the album.

Song #6: “Rose Gold” – I’d rate this song a 8.5/10. I believe it’s one of the best songs on the album. It’s a bit different from anything else Mosey raps, but I like it. The beat is slow, but flows very nicely along with the lyrics. It fits perfectly to form a great song all-together.

Song #7: “Dreamin” – This song would be a 8/10 for me. The beat is very familiar, and it’ll make you hum the song throughout the day. If you like his first album’s songs, you will like this song. It has a familiar vibe, and in this song, Mosey alludes to famous rapper, Soulja Boy’s hit song, “Kiss Me Thru the Phone.

Song #8: “Bankroll” (feat. AJ Tracey) – I’d rate this song a 8.5/10. I love the beat, it reminds me a lot of Mosey’s other hit songs, and it’s very catchy to me. AJ Tracey’s feature was very catchy to me too. These two collaborating together, created a very enjoyable song for me to bop to in the future.

Song #9: “See My Baby” –  This song would be a 7.5/10 for me. I like the lyrics and I feel like they’re very meaningful. I’m not a huge fan of the beat, but the lyrics and flow bring the song to a 7.5 rating for me.

Song #10: “Jet To The West” – I’d rate this song a 8.5/10. I loved the lyrics and the beat. The song is very catchy and the flow, impressed me.

Song #11: “Space Coupe” – This song receives a 9/10 rating from me. It’s another personal favorite of mine because of the beat. The beat was impressive and catchy, and is for sure, a song I would bop to in the car with my best friend.

Song #12: “G Walk” (feat. Chris Brown) – Another 9/10 rating from me. It’s very catchy, the lyrics went perfectly with the beat, and Chris Brown’s feature made it even better.

Song #13: “Never Scared” (feat. Trippie Redd) – This song gets a 9.5/10 rating from me. Undoubtedly, the best collaboration on the album. I loved the beat, the catchiness, the flow, and Trippie’s feature.

Song #14: “Kari’s World” – The final song on the album, receives a 8/10 rating from me. It’s a bit slower and different from the other songs on the album, but it ended out Mosey’s 2nd project, very nicely.

Overall, I was very impressed with Mosey on his second album. I feel like I can bop to this album in the car, at home alone, or with friends. I’d give the album an overall rating of a 8.5/10. His first two albums were very impressive to me, and have given me many bops to jam out to. I’m excited to see what Mosey puts out next!
