The Florida Gators Boys Basketball Team are Doing Amazing this Year!!

Amanda Palazzolo, Author and Editor

The Gators started their season with a big win against the North Florida Ospreys with a score of 74-59. Which put the Gators at (1-0) and North Florida at (0-1). Florida’s defense and ability to make turnovers helped them run away with it, so that held Ospreys to 37% while also forcing 18 turnovers. Even though the Gators didn’t always have great moments on defense they hustled on the other end and that allowed them to grab 22 offensive rebounds of their own.

Fans who anxiously waited for their chance to look at graduate transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr. was rewared with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in what was an extremely successful Florida debut. Kerry Blackshear Jr., Omar Payne, Keyontae Johnson, and Dontay Bassett were all causing fits with their dedication to pounding the offensive and they used their size advantage to win a lot of the 50-50 balls. Now all they got to do is bring that same effort on defense then they will be much better.
